The Northeast of India is richly endowed in terms of culture, natural resources, and potential with its’ eight states. However, this region is perhaps the most forgotten with respect to India’s startup story. Despite having the third largest startup ecosystem in the world, the Northeast region manages less than 2% of active startups and venture capital. The Northeast Startup Conclave is within the region and intends to change this narrative. It aims to integrate, incubators, investors, policy makers, and the likes to network and collaborate to stimulate the region’s untapped potential. The Conclave is both a celebration and recognition of the region’s potential to impact and transform venture opportunities. The Conclave is the innovation showcase of the region with the hope of forming the global network needed for seamless collaboration. The Northeast India region aspires to change the bleak story of the region to one of impact and growth, taking India’s entrepreneurial landscape by storm. It pleads with the region to use this opportunity to convert ideas to impact and potential to prosperity.
